My dog and I start most mornings walking to the beach.

I always tell myself I won't take more pictures because I've already taken so many and have no idea what to do with them all.

But then, the dawn is so beautiful, I just can't help myself.

I call this series Westside Sunrise.

Cautionary note: If you have always believed that the sun rises in the east and the ocean is to the west, you will find Santa Cruz very disorienting.
