Meet Caesar

Caesar is a 2-year old chimpanzee living at the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Sierra Leone; Tacugama was established in 1995 to home and rehabilitate confiscated, orphaned and abandoned chimps. It is illegal in Sierra Leone to hunt, capture, kill or keep chimpanzees. As Sierra Leone’s primary conservation organization, their mission is to use education and community conservation to eliminate the wildlife trade and safeguard the remaining natural habitats in the country.  Currently, the sanctuary cares for nearly 100 chimps.
